How do I update the prices?

Upload the new file over the old one and export again. Nothing in the layout is opened and no page is edited by hand, so the work is the upload rather than the rebuild.

What if the new file has extra columns or more rows?

That is the normal case. The document reads named columns, so extra columns are ignored and extra rows paginate into new pages on their own.

Can we use the export from our ERP or stock system?

Yes, as long as it can produce a CSV or XLSX. You upload that file exactly like a spreadsheet and the document reads it the same way. There is no live connector today, so the export is something you drop in when the numbers are settled.

Does it handle discount bands and quantity breaks?

Yes. The arithmetic lives in the data transform, so bands, volume tiers, surcharges and rounding run identically across every row of every reissue.

You set the rule and it applies after the discount chain rather than before. Nearest cent, nearest whole unit, or always up to a .95 ending, whichever your commercial policy is.

Will the page numbers and the index stay correct?

Yes. Page numbers, running headers and index references are counted while the document renders, so inserting or removing products moves every reference that points past them.

Can I see what changed since the last issue?

Keep the previous file attached beside the new one. The transform can compare them and mark the movement on the page, or gather the changes into their own section at the front.

Can we print a different price list per customer?

Yes. One document, a different band, their name on the cover and no other account's pricing anywhere in the exported file.

What happens to discontinued products?

Keep the row and give it a status column. You choose whether it prints with a withdrawal note and a replacement code, or drops out of the list entirely.

How fast is a reissue?

A 264 page list renders in about a minute, so the slow part of a reissue is agreeing the numbers rather than producing the document.
